Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU or PICU experience for a night shift pediatric position at a children's hospital in Oregon.

Details

• Work in a NICU at a children's hospital, with support also provided in the PICU, emergency department, and pediatric and adult acute/intermediate care wards
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction applies

Requirements

• Active RRT credential required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active Oregon (OR) respiratory therapy license required if applicable
• Minimum 1.5 years of NICU or PICU experience required
• COVID vaccination required — no exemptions
• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required for consideration; charge RN references are not acceptable
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Provides therapeutic interventions including airway management, therapeutic gas administration, ventilator management, newborn resuscitation, and CPR
• Performs diagnostic procedures including arterial blood sampling, bedside spirometry, spontaneous ventilatory parameter assessment, and point-of-care testing
• Trains new respiratory therapists, students, and other healthcare team members as needed
• May be required to float to a nearby affiliate hospital; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
• Candidates who are former employees of or previous travelers at this facility must provide a reference from the supervising manager at that facility
• Candidates who previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and may not exceed 2 weeks total
