Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU or PICU experience for a night shift pediatric position at a children's hospital in Oregon.
Details
- Work in a NICU at a children's hospital, with support also provided in the PICU, emergency department, and pediatric and adult acute/intermediate care wards
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- No on-call requirements
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction applies
Requirements
- Active RRT credential required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active Oregon (OR) respiratory therapy license required if applicable
- Minimum 1.5 years of NICU or PICU experience required
- COVID vaccination required — no exemptions
- Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required for consideration; charge RN references are not acceptable
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Provides therapeutic interventions including airway management, therapeutic gas administration, ventilator management, newborn resuscitation, and CPR
- Performs diagnostic procedures including arterial blood sampling, bedside spirometry, spontaneous ventilatory parameter assessment, and point-of-care testing
- Trains new respiratory therapists, students, and other healthcare team members as needed
- May be required to float to a nearby affiliate hospital; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
- Candidates who are former employees of or previous travelers at this facility must provide a reference from the supervising manager at that facility
- Candidates who previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and may not exceed 2 weeks total
